ETPOH
The Exchange Tool to Prevent Online Hate (ETPOH) is a secure, restricted online platform developed by the European Commission to support cooperation and structured information exchange on illegal hate speech online across the European Union. It forms part of the broader efforts to address illegal hate speech, including under the Code of Conduct+ on countering illegal hate speech online, and supports the work of the EU High Level Group on combating hate speech and hate crime.
The platform is designed to enable sharing of information, emerging trends, and developments related to online hate speech, as well as to support discussion and cooperation between relevant stakeholders. It provides dedicated workspaces.
By combining real-time alert sharing with structured knowledge resources and collaborative discussion spaces, ETPOH helps build a more coordinated and evidence-based approach to identifying and addressing online hate speech across the EU.
Access to ETPOH is limited to authorised users and stakeholder organisations. Membership is subject to approval by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST).
